February 25, 2011 - Old administration building = museum someday.

The old prison compound is being turned into a revitalized area of JC, and will eventually probably be one of the busiest and most popular areas of town because of all the businesses that will be going in. There are some newer restaurants and clubs that have been going in nearby but it will get much busier once the area is completely refurbished. The new federal courthouse is being built next door to this old administration building, and looks really good. Eventually, this building will be a museum. It has a long way to go, because what you can't see here is the total destruction of the lower part of this building with doors ripped off and stairways being torn up and walls half gone. It's going to take a lot of work to get this building ready, but I'm glad the plans are to keep it as historically in-tact as possible while still trying to make it conducive to a museum with exhibit space and stuff.
