May 12, 2010 - The thunder rolls, and the lightning strikes.

This building is on my street, about two blocks away from my house and yesterday this was a hair salon called On Stage Highlights and there were apartments next door and above it. Last night it caught fire (during the gnarly lightning storm we had) and suffered catastrophic damage. The fire department is looking into the cause, but it's been a long time since I've seen lightning as crazy as we had last night, so I'm guessing it was a strike. Luckily, nobody was hurt, but I don't think they're going to be able to save much of any of the building. Tonight we're due for more bad storms.
